About Mike McCandlish

Biography
Professionally, my favorite thing to do is to help my clients build the value of their innovations. I am thrilled that now, from the platform of MINDFUL IP PLLC, I have the freedom to work without the constraint of billable-hour targets and can do what I believe is best for my clients.
I began my professional life as an integrated circuit design engineer. My career in the semiconductor industry included introducing over 40 products to the marketplace, participating in three start-ups and living in Germany for seven years.
Deciding to pursue a lifelong interest, I completed a law degree in 2010 and started a second career in intellectual property law. I have drafted over 150 patents in technologies ranging from semiconductors to autonomous vehicles to satellite communications. My experience further includes trademark registration and prosecution, patent appeals, and patent related legal opinions. I know and work with a variety of talented attorneys and don’t hesitate to call on them to further the interests of my clients.
